I know this is my first post in a while, but I was feeling up for writing, but not up for writing much. I promise a real, thought provoking post once it is Spring Break and I don't have to see my students for a week.
Instructions: Comment on this post. I will then choose seven interests from your profile and reply to you with them. Repost this meme in your own journal along with the explanations of what each chosen interest means and why you're interested in it.
from
anneliese bad fiction novels-one of my guilty pleasures through the years of taking difficult English classes was to read the cheesiest fiction I could find. Mercedes Lackey, the early few Laurell K. Hamilton, Anne McCaffrey, the stuff that you read in middle school, I would read a book a day so that my brain didn't hurt.
frogs-I honestly have no idea why this is on my interests. It might be that I wanted to mention that I was going to TCU, or that I have always secretly wanted an aquarium with a tiny fire-bellied frog in it, or that I just liked frogs at the time that I was writing my interests
lik-lik-Carrie, Lacey, and I were given odd names because Carrie and Lacey were watching some TV show while I was in class. I think that Carrie was Bubbles, and Lacey was Velvet or something like that. Because I wasn't home I got the most hooker sounding name.
mooning people-a favored pastime until the time we accidentally mooned those cops.
songs about me-I have always been jealous of people who have names that are in songs. Elizabeth, Jesus, Mrs. Robinson, I would like to follow in their illustrious footsteps, but no one is going to make a song up about my name because it just doesn't sound very musical.
the rocket summer-a band I used to listen to more than I do now. I like him mostly because he was up beat and you could clap along. Clapping is an important part in whether an artist is of interest to me.
walking with no purpose-something I really started while in college, when living on campus made this easy and unlikely that I would be shot or run over by a car. I like to go on random rambling walks when it is nice outside, or even when it's not. London was very good for this because everywhere is interesting. Having a purpose can be a good way to miss out on the truly interesting stuff.
