Commiserate and Create! - Get Stuff Done!
Hello all! Hopefully by now you’ve got an idea of what you’re writing - maybe you’ve already started! Wherever you are in the process, it’s good to have support and in a sense, we’re all in this together! Contributing more fic with Sam and Gabriel (or Jared and Richard, as the case may be) to fandom! I personally need to get working on my mini so it seemed like a good time to spark some inspiration and do a bit of meet-and-greet mixed in with a little writing challenge.
If you were with us last year or have heard of gsd_rtfn, this will be familiar to you. This week, Tuesday 26th - Saturday 30th, we will be challenging ourselves and encouraging each other to make some progress on our writing! If you decide to participate, please sign-up in the comments by copy/pasting the form below and filling it out. You can set your daily and/or weekly goal and share a little about your plans - note that actual snippets of story should be restrained to only two sentences when sharing!
How do I set my goals?
Usually people set word count goals - daily and weekly - but that is not the only way to do this. If you hand-write your stories first, setting a goal of how many pages you want to fill by the week’s end might work better for you. If you like to outline and that’s where you’re at right now, go ahead and set it up that way. This is about you and establishing some goals for yourself that you think you can finish. It’s great to challenge yourself, but don’t feel like you have to make epic leaps of progress in just one week. We all have our own paces and methods.
Please, do not feel obligated to participate. This is completely optional and just here to help you along and maybe get to know each other a little better. That said, we welcome everyone, even the non-writers, to cheer on participants and wave those pom-poms around! *\o/*
