Sharp-Dressed Bear

The 2024 concert season came to a close last night with a show by legendary rockers ZZ Top.  It seemed as though they played ABQ every year, but I never pulled the trigger and bought tickets.  When one of the original members, Dusty Hill, died 3 years ago, it made me realize that if I had the opportunity to see old acts, I had better do it before iy was too late.  After last night's show I wondered why it took so long for me to see them.  It was one of those rare concerts where I pretty much knew every song.  They weren't out promoting some new album that no one had heard.  They just performed the songs that everyone knew and loved.  The show brought back nice memories of watching their videos on MTV and having a dorm full of freshman guys fapping to the girls in the video for "Sharp-Dressed Man."

The opening act was Broken Arrow which was much better than the act before Social D which I wrote about earlier.  My sister was supposed to have joined us, but she got sick.  We were once again joined by Scritchwuff who has gone from having seen 0 rock concerts to 3 in one year.  It was probably for the best that my sister didn't come.  We got hit with a winter storm last night that dropped 5" at my place and closed the interststate.
