Story of My Life
The 2024 concert season is drawing to a close. There is only one more on the schedule after last Tuesday's performance by Social Distortion. We were supposed to see them last year, but the lead singer developed tonsil cancer. He was treated and made a full recovery. I was a pretty big fan of the band back in the 90's, buying 3 of their cd's including the one with one of my favorite titles, "White Light. White Heat. White Trash." I mentioned the band in LJ year's ago when albear mentioned Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire." I commented that Social D did a great cover of the song. He disagreed. They ended the concert with it.
The opening act was The Del Reyes. Even though they were tight and rocked, they were so boring. If the lead singer shouted "this is a rock show!" one more time, I was going to scream.
