I'm Always Around

It's been awhile now,
Since I've been around.
I left so suddenly,
You probably thought I was dead.

I went to look for something,
That deep down I knew couldn't be found.
When I returned, I realized,
I had let everybody down.

Sometimes things happen,
And, people can't stay.
But, just because I left,
Doesn't me I don't still love you anyway.

I don't expect to be welcomed,
Back into your open arms.
They are closed now,
But, if you let me back into your heart,
We could make a new start.

I've been gone for so long,
I've forgotten what it's like,
To hear every calling,
To feel the sunlight.

Your eyes tell me your story,
Your sweet whisper,

I'm sorry to have hurt you,
So much that you had to hide.

We may not always see each other,
But, I know our souls will forever be bound.
