As many might know, I attend a weekly LAN party with
zorben and Valen. Today though makes me think a little. You see, my flatmate came up with us this time with his desktop system. The thing is that when we got the PC back here to the cave, is started to have issues. Unfortunatly, it's still down for the count and I'm hoping that Valen is able to come in to town to help me figure out why it's borked. But it's gotten me thinking on the use of laptops at LAN parties. I mean they do make laptops for such needs. So why don't more gamers make use of them? With all of the problems that desktop PCs can have, why not move to something far more portable, and for the right price, just as capable. Personally, I wouldn't spend less than $1,000 for a gaming laptop. Valen happens to have one from Asus that can run Crysis on medium, so we all know that a laptop can handle gaming. Just depends on how much you want to spend.
