I don't actually think any of that is canon. I'm not sure though, especially not about the fanon that surrounds the minor characters.
1. Hmm, I think Air force officers need a Master's Degree to get their rank? I've seen it explained like that in some place at least.
2. The Stanford fanon comes from when John said that "my dad's idea of rebellion was going to Stanford instead of Harvard" in Outcast, but he could just has easily have meant that Patrick was the one who rebelled by going to Stanford, or that Patrick would have found that an appropriately rebellious act but that John did something much worse in his eyes.
6. Fanon. Total fanon. In season one everyone made such a big deal out of John's ATA gene, so the fans took that and rolled with it. It's a pervasive (and charming) piece of fanon, but it's only just fanon.
7. Same
9. John asks Ronon if he'd been married (or something like that) and Ronon says "close enough," in Sunday. Personally, I took it to mean that he was engaged to Melena
( ... )
10. I dunno that we can call John being good at math fanon though- at least once he's able to do a complicated calculation in his head. Of course, he's a fucking pilot; I'm not really sure why fandom acts so surprised that he can work with numbers.
13. The only thing that makes me doubt it is that we never actually see any of the other operational staff in uniform (and I've always wondered why they didn't wear admin red).
17. This is the one I was the most "Oh bullshit, that's fanon" on, but then Stargate Wiki lists like five episodes for evidence. I think David Nykl must just be really sloppy about his jewelry.
18. Heh, I was actually thinking that Ronon was probably John's best friend, given Sunday (and the fact that John doesn't really have any friends except his team and possibly Woolsey).
Fanon straight down the list, I think! Some are not-so-farfetched deductions, but still never explicitly stated. Like Miko -- she was called Miko, but characters also made at least one reference to someone called Kusanagi, and I think fans put them together. Or John/Rodney BFF -- it depends on which episodes you watch, because if it's race cars and Doppelganger, hell yes, but if it's ... lots of others, they don't seem close. The Rodney/Carson BFF was pastede on, but still, presented as fact. I think most people assume Rodney's other degree was Engineering because he builds and fixes stuff so much; makes sense, but I don't think the diplomas he has on his wall were shown close up enough to tell for sure.
I don't think you need a Master's to be an Air Force officer. My friend was one, and I believe she's getting her first Master's now, after she left. I can check with her if you want.
What gaffsie said about 2 and 9 and 10.
p.s. You made me eat peanut butter cups the day before yesterday for the first time in a long while.
My friend told me that you don't need a Master's to be an officer, but you do need one if you want to advance to or beyond Major. So if John were an officer in the real world (you know, the one where his hair would never be allowed), he'd have one. Aero/astro or management or something, she said are popular choices.
Miko and an American who appears at least through S3.
Ya, good point. I just think that's where the full name originated.
Nah, it's Markham and Smith who get blowed up in the dogfight, which is during The Brotherhood. But, Stackhouse doesn't appear again after that episode, if Stargate Wiki is to be believed. So I suppose it might as well have been him.

Yeah, Bates clearly says the people who get blowed up are Markham and Smith. And Chuck is definitely wearing medical white WHAT THE FUCK.
