Intro Post: Fandom
If I had to pick a main fandom, it would be Gyakuten Saiban (and maybe it's pretentious that I always use the Japanese name, but, trust me, it's easier this way). I guess you could sort of call me a MNF; that being said, there are like three hundred people in the whole fandom- especially while we're in between games- and that just means I get ten comments when I post a fic instead of three. I stay on LJ and Objection and the hell out of the Court Records forums. My current playpretty is gyaku_meta, where we are all very aware and tl;dr and fabulous.
SGA is my shiny new fandom, though I've been gay for movie!Daniel Jackson for years; I've been in it just long enough that I'm starting to think I know what's going down, but short enough that it's still got that new fandom smell. Mostly, I'm at that stage where all I want to write is crackfic and slapsticky slash; I'm not ready to whump the characters yet (but whump them I probably will).
I'm still sort of in the House fandom, but I've lost my touch for it at the moment. My interest has been waning since the original Duckings dispersed, and that makes me sad. :( I'm like the only person who misses the good old days of the Tritter arc.
I'm sort of halfway in like a billionteen other fandoms- Big Bang Theory, Jeeves and Wooster, and Firefly, mostly. I'll write or read damn near anything.
I don't really have any OTPs- I haven't ever, really. The pairing that got closest for me was Spike/Faye, but I'm convinced Jet and Faye hooked up after the ending, and I've even written Spike/Julia. Also maybe Lex/Lana- but that was mostly because they were the only moderately sane people in that whole fandom- the Chlexers still kind of scare me. I'm very low key about shipping in general- there are a couple pairings that I do not ship, with big bold letters and possibly underlining, but the only ship that I'm really tinhatty for is House/Cuddy/Wilson.
I write a lot of slash right now- which is funny, because I used to be like the lonely little het fan- but I've never considered myself a slasher. Most of what I write is either pretty fluffy or moderately thinky, though most of what I read is pretty dark or definitely porny. Every time I try to write darkfic, everybody dies. The only character I can seem to write moderately is Miles Edgeworth.
I used to RP; I did it for a long time before I ever started writing fic. I don't anymore, for a lot of reasons- mostly, I'm really very lazy. I still play tabletop now and again, though; devoting several hours a week to playing works a whole lot better for me than a little bit of time each day. I also write original fiction off and on; all that lives at debitage.
All the fic I wrote between 2003 and the end of 2008 is compiled into a series of indices, organized by fandom.
