(no subject)
- Nearly finished 52 yesterday... So far, the conclusion is so grandiose that it verges on the ridiculous and doesn't entice me to finish those last 6-7 pages. (An evil Mothra devouring worlds and no Godzilla to save humanity? Only three guys in spandex?! Blasphemy!) Well, if only to find out what truly happened to Ralph Dibny's wish... and his explorer beard.
I agree with one of the writers who felt Wonder Woman didn't get the attention she deserved. As a non-avid comic reader, I didn't realize it was her until I read the writer's commentary. The Gotham City arcs' endings were solid. The Black Adam storyline... He's a tragic hero. Villain. Whatever.
- Still haven't made spanakopita yet. Hopefully tonight or tomorrow I will after I buy more supplies.
- Work is work. We have a full staff once again so my hours were cut considerably. Cue incentive to find a second job (or a better one entirely!).
- My brother finished The Silmarillion. I'm nearly done with The Fellowship. We still don't understand why The Hobbit is being made into two movies. Unless they plan on including more backstory / mythos, what's the point? It's been years since I read Bilbo's tale or watched the animated movie, but the story doesn't deserve to be cut in half.
I bought the trilogy on DVD. Not the extended version with the deleted scenes but for $6.50 per DVD, I couldn't exactly quibble about details. Also, I have Clerks 2 because it is made of awesome (and Rosario Dawson's bouncing boobage).
- Sushi & Sake on Monday with Pat then went to the 'Haus for maybe an hour for Matt's friend's birthday before leaving.
