Disapointment in Spiderman 3 is like a poison. It can turn you into something you're not.

I never considered myself a comic book geek. Sure, I'm definitely a cartoon geek. I've even been a math geek, but I never thought that I would register as any level of comic book geek until I came out of Spiderman 3 feeling disappointed and angry. How could they mess up Venom?I couldn't believe it. This was the character everyone was waiting for. I was willing to accept the plot holes in the movie like how Venom knew information about Sandman that neither Peter Parker nor Eddie Brock knew or why the symbiote hung around Peter's apartment for 3 days before attaching itself to Peter, but changing main aspects of the character that most fans came to see is a huge mistake. The thing that brought out the upset geek in me was this: Venom never speaks in plurals. I couldn't believe it. I kept waiting for it to happen, but it never does. At least the cameo by Bruce Campbell was funny.

On the plus side: awesome Pirates of the Caribbean trailer. Anyone else notice the skull and crossbones changes for each movie?
