Graduation for the oldest

May 19, 2011 20:21

I'm in Ocean City, Maryland.  My oldest daughter just graduated.  Had a great dinner at Fish Tales and getting ready to go to Seacrets...a very cool, very young bar to go with my daughter and meet her boyfriend and countless other newly graduated kids.  The bar is right next to the hotel, so we are good to go with drinking and driving.  It is only 8:14 at night and I'm already tired, so I'm sure the kids will outlast me.  They are having a Cruiser rally here in OC. Oh man, so many very cool cars, 63 Vette, 67 Z-28, 57 BelAir station wagon. and yes what I believe was a 67 chevy IMPALA.  We we going the wrong way but I squeed and almost dislocated my neck trying to see it!

It is so funny - these awesome cruising cars are driving along Coastal Highway and people, hundreds of people are lining the streets in lawn chairs like it is a parade - all to see these cool cars driving down the road.  I feel like I'm in some kind of surreal movie or something.

I'm one happy camper.  Graduated daughter, CHECK.  Graduated me, CHECK.  Hubs watching TV and little one chilling, CHECK.  And this view from the balcony.
