Blargh
Today was eventful, surprisingly. This morning I had a Rotary meeting to go to. I spoke a little bit about my year in Taiwan and we got to listen to a couple give a presentation on the health work they do in Honduras. I was working on 4 hours of sleep, but had fun regardless. My Near plush doll also arrived when I got home. I ordered him last week and he's sooooo adorable! He went out to lunch with my family and I. Two of my aunts and cousins went with me and my mom to the restaurant my brother works at. I had a tomato basil pannini and it was delicious~
I spent a lot of time packing for college. I got all my clothes, supplies, and most of my dorm stuff ready to leave with me on Sunday. I got a message from my roommate about an hour ago, though. Apparently we could not stay in the room we had originally been placed in, so she's been placed in another room and I am currently without one. She's going to try to get me in a room on the same floor as her. It's on a healthy lifestyles floor, which I hadn't opted for originally but I don't mind at all, and I would be rooming with a Japanese girl. The building is also a lot nicer than my old one. This could be really awesome, but it's not set in stone. In any case, whatever room I'm placed in, I don't know the person I will be staying with, which is a little scary for me. I also don't know what I'm supposed to bring for the dorm, if I am going to leave some of the stuff I bought home because my new roommate already has those things, etc. It's kind of stressing me out, in addition to me being disappointed about not being able to stay with my old roommate. This isn't going to ruin college for me, but I can't help but be a little worried about how the room situation goes. And dammit, whoever my new roommate is, they better not have brought curtains. If I don't get to use the ones I made I'm gonna be very unhappy. >:[
My Near is being a lifesaver right now. He is so easy to cuddle. <3
