Hey all!
I'm still bookmarking away, and catching fic when I can. No hope for my lappy yet, as funds have once again dried up for a while, so I'm just getting on hubby's lappy when I can. He's out like a light this evening, thanks to the headache meds he's on right now, and a particularly nasty headache that hit him at work today. We're hoping to hear back from his neurologist tomorrow about the results of the CT scan. *fingers crossed for good news*
In fannish news, I spent some time working on the
dcu_fandomguide today (yup, that's the community of communities! :p). It's still almost barebones, but it's coming along. The comm's still locked, and membership is moderated, so if you want to see what I've got, please send me a PM and I'll send you an invite to the comm.
My *real* reasons for mentioning the comm, however, is that I've had an epiphany. I can't do this alone. O_O It's just too HUGE for one person to be able to handle. So I have a request. If there's anyone who would like to help moderate/maintain the comm with me, PLEASE drop me a PM, and I'll get you added. I'm looking for maybe 2 or 3 people, who wouldn't mind searching through LJ with a fine toothed comb for comms that might be slipping through the cracks, and know their way around basic HTML involving tables. I've already got an impressive list of comms, but there are more and more new ones created every day (*especially* with TDK out now), and I fear I'm missing some of them, and am going to forget to cross-reference them according to content. O_o And I haven't even *started* compiling the list of actor/actress-related comms. O_O
*breathes*
I have officially bitten off more than I can chew. I guess I always knew that it would happen someday...
In other news, I've been wanting to post a scathing meta on writing, including the proper use of italics and punctuation, and why having a co-writer doesn't guarantee that your fic won't come out looking like crap. Just haven't gotten around to organizing my thoughts yet. Buh.
And, why yes, I *have* been drinking, why do you ask? (It was Hatteras Scuppernong Blush, for the wine connoisseurs. Yum! ^_~)
*hugs to all*
