Have You Back | DCU | Kon/Bart/Tim | PG | 628 w
Prompt: for
anthraciteowl - Kon/Bart/Tim - all are alive and happy
Summary: Tim has a lot of questions, now that Kon and Bart are back.
Have You Back
The shock was more than Tim could process. Kon and Bart were alive. Alive... and well. Whole. Here.
Waking up some time after discovering them waiting for him at the Manor, surrounded by family and friends, Tim still couldn't process it. How? When? And... why? What in the universe could have brought him his friends, brothers, lovers back to him? Who had decided that Tim was important enough to get this second chance to make everything right?
“Tim, you okay, man?” Kon looked at him with concern.
“Yeah, you scared us, passing out like that,” Bart added.
All those deep questions flew away as ethereal as smoke the moment Kon and Bart spoke to him, flopping down on his bed after they sent Bruce and the others away. They were alive. They were here. They were... different.
Kon waved his hand in front of Tim's face. “Tim? Robbie?”
Still unable to quite close his mouth, Tim stared at them, making note of the little differences. They'd both aged. Not dramatically, but enough to look just slightly different. Kon was a little broader across the shoulders, his hair a bit longer than it had been, his face fractionally longer. Bart... well, Bart had already aged up some before he was... killed... but... he was still different. His face seemed more filled out, like he'd grown into his features finally, he seemed more muscled than he had been.
“Robin! Snap out of it!”
“Really, Tim, you're staring at me like a starving man at a buffet!”
Fingers snapped in blurred succession before his face, and as more questions began to wind their way through Tim's mind, he fought for focus. Kon and Bart were here. “K-Kon?” he finally managed to choke out. “Bart?”
“It's us, Rob,” the dark haired boy smiled, laying a hand on Tim's jeans-clad leg. “Thanks to alternate universe time loops and the sharp eye of the Atom as he passed through, keeping watch over one of the Monitors, or at least, that's how GL and Batman said we got home. And it really is us, they checked us out down to the DNA and freakin' 'chronal signatures', whatever that means,” he finished, miming air quotes.
Shaking his head and blinking hard, Tim finally caught up with Kon's explanation. Alternate... so Jason had been telling them the truth about what was out there... It all made sense. But...
No. He wouldn't question it. Period. He had them back, that was all that mattered.
“Kon...” he sighed again, reaching out to tough his face. Same skin, just as he remembered it. Same light stubble; Kon hadn't shaved in a day or so.
“Hey, we're here. Stop gaping like a fish,” the Kryptonian chuckled lightly, placing a hand over Tim's.
Practically buzzing on the other side of the bed, Bart seemed to give up on waiting his turn, and lunged forward to draw Tim up in his arms. “God, I missed you, man!” he cried, choking up himself. “You didn't exist in that other world! Freakin' Jason Todd was still Robin! It was insane!”
Tim couldn't help a smile at the warmth of his friend, the impatience, and the statement. His heart swelled in a way it hadn't in the long two years since he'd lost Bart. “I... missed you so much!” he finally cried, breaking and letting the tears fall down his cheeks that he didn't even realize had filled his eyes. “Missed... both of you... so goddamn much!” he sobbed.
Swept up in a second pair of strong arms, Tim melted into his lovers. To hell with the 'whys' and 'hows'. He had Kon and Bart back. Nothing on the face of every alternate Earth out there could make him happier.

Confession | DCU | Tim/Kon | PG-13 | 485 w
Prompt: For
daggerpen - first kiss, before Kon's death
Summary: Tim is blindsided.
Confession
It should have been just another evening playing video games, snarfing pizza and snacks, and generally bitching about their respective mentors. Should have been the usual down time for the team. But it wasn't. As soon as Cassie, Bart, and Mia left Tim and Kon alone in the common room at Titans Tower, conversation turned immediately to Kon's floundering relationship with Wonder Girl.
“Dude... I don't think I should see Cassie anymore.”
“I'm sorry - what?” Tim gaped, looking up from their current video game. “Why?”
Kon looked away. “I just... don't think I like her that way anymore.”
Tim's curiosity was piqued, and he saved the game and set the controller on the coffee table. Drawing himself up on the couch, he turned to face his friend. “Are you sure? Why not?”
Dropping his own controller, Kon flung himself back on the sofa, pressing the heels of his hands into his eyes. “Argh!” Because... because I like someone else, okay? I can't string her along when I'd rather be with someone else.”
“Um... who?” Tim ventured, not at all sure he wanted to know the answer. Kon wasn't usually such a clam about his crushes, so for him to not have said anything until now, it must be serious.
For a moment, the other boy didn't say anything, instead groaning and shaking his head.
But Tim couldn't take the suspense. Damning the consequences, he grabbed Kon's wrist and pulled his hand away from his face. “Who, Kon?” he asked more forcefully.
Kon frowned at him, and just as Tim was taking another breath to press the issue, the taller boy leaned over, pressing a firm kiss against Tim's lips.
His brain screeching to a sudden halt, all Tim could process was the kiss. Kon's lips were hot, hard, and soft all at the same time, and... He couldn't resist opening his mouth to admit Kon's tongue when it teased his lower lip. There was nothing hesitant about it when the kiss deepened, Tim giving himself over to it easily, responding with a fervor he didn't know he possessed.
After a long moment, Kon pulled reluctantly back and wiped his mouth with the back of a hand, looking sheepish. “Um... sorry,” he apologized, eyes downcast.
Catching his breath, Tim stared at his friend for a moment. He hadn't thought Kon had meant him, of all people, but surprisingly, he found he had no problem with it. In fact... his shock melted to acceptance as he realized he actually felt the same way. How had he missed this?
“Tim?” Kon asked.
Shaking himself out of his reverie, Tim exhaled heavily. “Kon... why didn't you say anything?”
The other boy sighed, then gave a tiny smirk. “I think I just did.”
Smiling in return, Tim grabbed Kon's t-shirt and pulled him in for another kiss. “I can't really argue with that logic, now can I?”
