After "Lacey" (2x19) aired, I wrote a ranty post about how the narrative did not quite set up our introduction to the titular character in a satisfactory way - and then saw a lot of hate for Lacey herself, which was even more frustrating. So I decided to write Lacey/Gold in such a way that it satisfied me on all fronts.
