Alright, I'm done with cynicism for a while. Like I said in last entry, I've pretty much complained about the only things that are worth complaining about in my life, so now that I've got most of that off of my chest, I can breathe freely again.

I finally got my car back. Can't tell you how happy I am. A week without it was hard. lol. What with the minivan and constant begging of my parents to let me drive their cars cuz of the minivan's a/c. Only issues I have are that for the time it was gone, I expected that everything I mentioned wasn't working would be fixed. Only differences I noticed on the drive home was that the check engine light, along with accompanying message was gone, as well as the transmission service urgent one. I'm happy, finally it's not someone just resetting the computer's warnings, thinking that by doing so the problem will go away. No, it was finally fixed. Finite, caput. All gone. All smiles here on that one. Although I couldn't quite put my finger on the accent this guy had, I figured he was somewhat Israeli.. after all, why would my dad select any other person to complete the job? (See other entry. lordy.) I was willing to wait a few extra days for him to take it to Galpin Volvo in Van Nuys just so that we could be accomodated by a real DEALER, not just someone claiming to specialize in Volvo mechanics, since those cars are very particular. Never mind that, but every time I get my car back from a place like that, there's oil and grease smudges EVERYWHERE, inside and out. all over the hood and fenders. It's like a bloody map; you can see every single place they rested their hands while working on the car. From what I can tell, only 2 of the 11-12 some odd items that I designated as needing attention were actually repaired. Transmission and Emission system. That's it. I can undestand being unable to get a knob for the radio.. barely. But double filament light bulbs for the parkinglights/ turn signals at front? I need ONE bulb, and he couldn't even do that for me. Again, keep in mind the fact the car was "being fixed" for one whole week. I had more serious work done on my S70, completed in 3 days at most, with Calabasas Volvo. But I wasn't satisfied with them. The arrogance and conceit present in the persona of many calabasas-dwellers (I think now is a good time to mention I live in woodland hills) is a problem like no other. Car dealers are no different. But oh well. Anyway my baby's home. Cleaned it inside out, got the musty smell of mechanic and crap out of the interior, and got all the grease off the exterior. made the alloy gleam, had a bit of trouble with wax (I NEED TIRESHINE AND ARMORALL for the trim) but it's presentable again. lol. So all in all, I'm pretty happy right now. Workin on a new song, be interesting to see how that'll turn up.. but yeah I'm tired so I'm out.... latterrrrrrrr
