Fucking dammit...
I'm really glad to be a total computer geek at times...
So for those of you who know me pretty well, you know that my mom had a website she kept updated on her battle with cancer...clear up until about 2 weeks before she died...and then the day she died, there was one last entry, from me.
Anyway...apparently her domain registration expired. She kinda kept me updated with her passwords and everything and so I logged into her account where she hosts the site and fiddled around. Couldn't get anywhere with that though. So I email the company to try and get some help from them. They reply back with, "We just checked and she isn't hosting her site here." BULL FUCKING SHIT, I had just accessed all the files right before contacting them. However, it didn't get me to where I needed to be...renewing her domain name.
So just now I sent another quite rude message to them to try and get more info. But fuck them... fiddling around a lil more, I got the FTP information for her site and I'm in the process of downloading it all onto my computer. So now I just gotta go to war with someone to get ahold of the same domain name. I got a server that blows away the one her site's currently on...and it'll save my dad money in the end since I'm already paying for it for my own sites.
I know that was total gibberish for many of you... but I'm kinda pissed...just venting.
