Nav links and borders and sidebar text -- oh my!

May 31, 2009 15:45

Hello. Yesterday I did Blogging For The Cure for literally twenty-four hours, so I was pretty sick of looking at my sad and pathetic Generator layout. I decided to revamp the whole thing using Expressive: River At Night as a template. Thanks to this community, I pretty much have it how I want it. Unfortunately, there's a few things I can't seem to figure out.

1. The links in my nav bar (the links above the title) are very hard to see. I'd like them to be a dark gray. I have been working on this particular problem alone for at least an hour. Needless to say, I'm pretty frustrated.

2. The titles in my sidebars are blue. I would like to destroy that blue. White would look far better.

3. Why does my sidebar background suddenly not match my entry background?

4. I don't like the borders around the sidebars. Would there be any way to change them to lime green?

#header-inner {

}

#header-text .nav .current a {color: #A8D411;}

/* header title/subtitle font */
#header-name a,
#header-description {
font-family: ("century gothic", sans-serif);
color: #000000
}
/* header links */
#header .nav .item {
font-family: ("century gothic", sans-serif);
color: #000000
}

.designed-widget {
display: none;
}

I know many of these issues have probably been asked and resolved by previous users, and I have been looking through the tags. However, due to my lack of sleep, it's pretty much all running together at this point. I appreciate any and all help on the matter.
