(Special 2) Chapter 20

“YAH!” Youngsaeng gritted his teeth. Everyone turned around in alarm. The bride CANNOT be angry on her- I mean his, special day!

“It’s okay! We’ll get him there!” One shouted and ran to drag Hyungjoon, while three others escorted Youngsaeng to the entrance of the assembly area where he will step onto the red carpet with rose petals at the sides, and walk towards the end where he will find his fate, his future, his everything in the one and only Kyujong. However, the escorts stopped a distance away from the entrance, where whoever was entering the assembly area could be seen so Kyujong could not see Youngsaeng yet.

The best men and Kyujong’s sister were all getting ready to walk down the aisle, and Hyungjoon was soon dragged into view and aligned into the “queue” beside Kibum. Behind the four was Kyujong, nervously shuffling his feet while smiling uncontrollably. Then, two cuties were behind the bridegroom, one was Kyuhyun and the other, Youngsaeng’s niece. At the end was Youngsaeng’s father, who he would link arms and make a grand entrance with.

The wedding ceremony soon started, the famous pianist employed to play a promise song that was not the traditional wedding song. Jungmin introduced himself to the audience cheerfully, before introducing the people who were about to enter. Applauses were loud and clear, as they welcomed the people who were important in a wedding. First up were the best men and bridesmaids walking together, Eun Ah and Hyunjoong in front, Hyungjoon and Kibum about 2 metres behind (of course Hyungjoon’s name was changed to something else). Secondly was the bridegroom, who beamed as he walked down the aisle towards the front of Jungmin.

Next, Jungmin squealed while gesturing for little Kyuhyun and his partner to walk forward, as they looked like cupids and were extremely adorable. Kyuhyun had the wedding ring pillow in his left arm, the other hand interlocking with Youngsaeng’s niece’s hand. The flower basket she was supposed to hold was small and it hung where the two small hands were joined together. As the flower girl, she reached into the baskets to get some rose petals to scatter onto the ground. She was only about 4 years old, and because she was taught to use a lot of force to scatter the petals beautifully, she looked really cute struggling to throw far.

Finally, the bride walked in with a shy smile with arms linked with the father. The audience all whispered among themselves, praising and admiring how the bride was such a rare beauty. Jungmin grinned after the walking-down-the-aisle people finished walking and Youngsaeng’s father went to take a seat beside his wife, and quickly got over his speech on his relationship with both the groom and the bride and explained how the couple first met and how their love blossomed (excluding the not-so-nice to know parts).

“Do you, the groom, take the bride, to be your wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, in joy and in sorrow, in good times and in bad, to honour, to love and to cherish; from this day forward till death do you both part?”

“I do.” Kyujong bit his lip to try and hide his grin. He looked at Youngsaeng and couldn’t stop himself from smiling. Youngsaeng was looking more beautiful then ever, and from today onwards, they would be recognised as a lawfully wedded couple in the eyes of the law.

“And do you, the bride, take the groom, to be your husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, in joy and in sorrow, in good times and in bad, to honour, to love and to cherish; from this day forward till death do you both part?”

“I do.” Youngsaeng smiled shyly and nodded towards Jungmin, before turning to gaze into Kyujong’s mesmerising eyes.

“I, as your wedding officiant, officially pronounce both of you, husband and wife. The groom may now kiss the bride.” Jungmin said in a formal tone, before turning his head to laugh at how formal he became.

Kyujong smiled slightly before taking a step closer towards Youngsaeng. His hands were put on Youngsaeng’s waist, as he tilted his head to the left and moved his head forward gradually until their nose collided and their lips landed on each other’s. The former then asked for permission to take this kiss one step further, while the latter didn’t deny the former’s rights. Kyujong’s hands made their way to Youngsaeng’s back, pulling him closer. Their tongues then tasted each other’s mouth, the sweet taste buds at the tip of their tongues making the kiss sweeter. A cough in the audience reminded Youngsaeng that he was still in reality, and not in the dream where only he and Kyujong existed. He then pulled away from the kiss, blushing from the embarrassment.

Kyujong reluctantly let go, but he knew that he was in a formal ceremony so it would not be proper to publicly display affection. He pouted towards Youngsaeng, who averted his gaze while his cheeks turned redder.

“Hahaha!” Jungmin laughed into the microphone. “Well, everyone let’s go to the wedding reception area! There will be people to lead the way! Off we go!”

As the number of people gradually decreased and the focus was no longer on the couple, Kyujong tugged at Youngsaeng’s hand before dragging him towards somewhere safe.

“KYUJONG! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’RE DOING!” Youngsaeng hissed as he realised they were in their past classroom.

The said man only chuckled while pushing Youngsaeng onto his seat and then making his head rest on the table. “I wanted to re-enact something, for memory sake.”

Youngsaeng frowned, not understanding Kyujong’s word, until a second later when he got thrown towards the wall.

“YOU ARE NOT GOING TO CHARGE TOWARDS ME LIKE A BULL.”
