(Special 2) Chapter 19

Kyujong decided to hold his wedding in school at the open-air assembly area as the school was where his and Youngsaeng’s life was brought together. The weather was cloudy and windy, making it a perfect day.

As the school was already white in colour, the decorations for the wedding were mostly light colours like pale yellow and beige. A short and white gated picket perimeter fence  surrounded the assembly area, enclosing 2 columns of many rows of seats. The pickets were spaced 20cm apart from each other, each fence post having a few red rose vines twined about it, supporting a couple of pink roses at the top of the post. The beige gateway was just a little taller than the fence, gates swung outside to welcome the guests.

The wedding day had finally arrived.

Due to the “patience” of Kyujong, the wedding came quick, and some big shots were unable to attend. Thus, many of them sent their congratulations using floral stands. The flowers ranged from a romantic arrangement of Queen Anne’s lace, Stephanotis and Roses to exciting feelings sparked of by the bright yellow hue Jasmines, Ranunculus and Daffodils give off. The various stands stood outside the fence, adding colours to the area since the wedding decorations were at first derived from a themed colour. Around the assembly area were many of Kyujong’s servants, except now they have a new role, to usher the guests into the wedding place.

Many guests were already seated, and so were Kyujong’s parents and Youngsaeng’s mother. The whole wedding seemed to be on schedule, the atmosphere was cheerful and had some soft whispers here and there, but backstage had chaos going on.

Due to Hyungjoon’s lack of brains to ask a certain question, Kyujong’s sister found herself with 2 other males. Although she had another “bridesmaid” with her, she was unfortunately, the only girl.

“SERIOUSLY NO ONE TOLD ME I WAS GOING TO BE IN A DRESS!” Hyungjoon screamed. He turned up for every rehearsal, yet since it was only rehearsals, there was no need to change. Everyone wore casually during the process, until today, the big day.

“Hey, did you think someone told me I was going to be in a dress too? No. I was just led into a dressing room which had a dress waiting for me already. And seriously, stop complaining. The focus will go to me since I’m the one marrying while you’re just a minor role most people don’t bother. So shut up and get changed or I’ll get some servants here to help.” Youngsaeng rolled his eyes as he was getting his make-up done before he has no more to-dos on his checklist.

“I HATE YOU!” Hyungjoon continued whining. Youngsaeng merely shrugged and pointed to the other room. Hyungjoon blinked before running towards the other room. “KYUJONG, I HATE YOUUUUUUUUUU!”

“Well thank you very much. Now go get changed or I’ll make sure you get your butt kicked.” Kyujong chuckled as he saw Hyungjoon running towards him, the latter chanting how much he hated the former. Kyujong was with Kibum, Hyunjoong and Jungmin, the three wearing similar black tuxedos. He, being the bridegroom, was wearing the same white tuxedo he had on during the photo shoot, except that this time, he had a bowtie on instead. “Kick or not?”

“…” Hyungjoon pouted. “I want to wear a handsome tuxedo too…”

“Next time when you get married. Now go change, get your wig and make-up on, and get ready to walk down the aisle with Kibum.” Kyujong pushed Hyungjoon out of the male’s dressing room roughly.

Hyungjoon sighed and stomped back towards the “female’s” dressing room, going to get changed into probably something that was similar to Youngsaeng’s. When he came out five minutes later, he had his zip unzipped and dress weirdly worn.

“Hyungjoon, don’t tell me you don’t know how to wear, a dress. Pull the dress down! How could the dress’s waist be at your chest?!” Youngsaeng shook his head and went over to help Hyungjoon adjust his dress and zip up the zip which was exposing his back. “Maybe I should unzip. You seem to want to bare your back.”

“Shut up.” Hyungjoon pouted. “I couldn’t reach it…”

Youngsaeng burst out laughing at Hyungjoon. “Go get your hair and make-up done.”

Hyungjoon was in a simple baby blue full-length wide strapped gown, which was tightly fitted from top till waist, and the dress widened gradually from waist till the toes. A ribbon was tied into a knot surrounding his waist to the side, separating his upper and lower body. There was a ribbon bow on each of his strap too, the ends of the ribbons hanging loosely by his arms. Kyujong sister had exactly the same dress, except hers was smaller in size, and her waist ribbon ends had a few diamonds sewn on them. The lower portion of her dress also had glitter, making her evidently the maid of honour.

Youngsaeng on the other hand, being the focus of the wedding, had a pure white above knee-length ballerina dress with white stockings on. His straight neckline dress was strapless, and before his chest was a quite big ribbon bow. His dress was also glittery from the waist to the bottom, while his hands till his elbows were covered with white satin bridal gloves. A pair of ankle strap silver heels was worn to match his clothes. Youngsaeng’s wig was similar to the one at the photo shoot studio, except this time, his fringe was side swept instead of his previous cute blunt bangs. It was also a little shorter then before, and it was loosely tied to his right, the hair tie hanging around the bottom right corner of Youngsaeng’s head. In case the volume of hair was too much, the hair stylists decided to separate the hair into 40% in front and the remaining 60% covering some of his back. A full diamond tiara was securely placed on Youngsaeng’s head, which was a little heavier then he was used to.

“You’re pretty.” Hyungjoon gaped at Youngsaeng’s beauty.

Youngsaeng chuckled and pointed to the mirror behind Hyungjoon. “Look at yourself.”

“I know I look horri-” Hyungjoon sighed while turning around, before gasping in surprise. “OH MY GOODNESS! I WANT TO MARRY HER!”

“No, it wouldn’t be nice to marry yourself.” Youngsaeng rolled his eyes and nudged Hyungjoon. “I think time’s up.”

“Wow, I never knew I was so pretty~” Hyungjoon sang, ignoring Youngsaeng words while continuing to admire himself.
