Drabbles for ag_fics:MC3

A/N: I have loved these mini challenges so much (partly because I have lost motivation for longer stuff and partly because they are just so much fun :P) Thanks once again to the wonderful guys over at ag_fics for organising them. So here are my two from the latest challenge...

Prompt: No sermons, not one.

Goodbye is hard to say - PG- Angst

He wishes it could have been a small affair, but of course it isn’t. Hundreds flock to watch the funeral procession. He hates the formality of it all. It isn’t personal. It isn’t her funeral, it’s the Queen’s. And he hates it.

He doesn’t want sermons or hymns. He doesn’t want some priest telling him that it was her time. He doesn’t want to hear that he’ll be alright, that one day the rip in his world, where she used to be, will somehow mend.

He wants to lock himself away. But he can’t because Camelot needs its King, now more than ever. And he wants to fall apart. But he can’t, because she was the only one who was ever able to put him back together.

A/N: I officially need to stop killing off Gwen in these mini challenges, I think this is the 3rd time I've done it! (Poor Gwen) But the prompt was so great and gave me inspiration so she had to go. I also got two lovely banners for it (Lucky me :P) made by the talented mustbethursday3.

Prompt: DAD: Fe, Fi, Fo, Fum, I would like to know the status of my youngest one.

First Date Nerves - PG - Family

‘Eleanor Igraine Pendragon! You are not going out dressed like that!’

His little girl glares up at him, through heavily mascaraed eyelashes, ‘what’s wrong with what I’m wearing?’

‘Well…’ he splutters.

‘Well what?’ she snaps in a tone that she has clearly learnt from her mother.

‘Maybe you should wear your pink turtleneck instead.’

‘I’m going on a date, not to a convent!’

‘But it makes you look so sophisticated.’

‘Oh and teenage boys love sophistication,’ she retorts, rolling her eyes.

‘I know what teenage boys love and you are not giving it to him!’

‘Ellie, you look lovely,’ Gwen smiles, emerging from the lounge, ‘but you should probably wear something over that top- it’s cold out.’

‘Fine,’ Ellie replies, heading back upstairs.

He rounds on his wife, ‘how did you do that?’

She smirks, ‘tact.’

A/N: So this was basically just a scene that I had already semi thought of from the AU world of An Unwelcome guest and the prompt sparked me to actually write it down- so thanks prompter.
