it only happens once a lifetime, make the most of it
so when i'm feeling down, i like to stay home from school, take books out of the library and read in bed. it was even raining on friday, a nice added touch. saturday was a similar day. but i read too fast. okay, then some sex and the city. walking the dog to the beach. hanging out with a friend. reading on my roof in the sun.
i realized how excited i am for upcoming books/movies.
1. harry potter movie
2. harry potter BOOK 7!!!!!!!! duh!!!
3. 'the finnish line' - the next addition to the s.a.s.s. series, which is a really cheesy YA series about girls going abroad... yes, this one is about a girl going to FINLAND and it's coming out THE DAY AFTER MY BIRTHDAY! what a present!!
4. 'the sweet far thing' - completes libba bray's trilogy. i read the first, a great and terrible beauty, over spring break in the car to d.c., and the second, rebel angels, i finished yesterday. my only regret about reading them so quickly is i have to wait until christmastime for the final one. ahhh kartik.
5. 'the golden compass' movie - yeah!!!!!! ohmigod! i'm ahhh so terribly excited. might be inspired to reread his dark materials, afterall it is one of my favorite series ever.
6. 'gossip girl' - what's this? i heard it's going to be a tv series on the CW... should be interesting, blake lively (bee in the sisterhood of the traveling pants movie!) is serena!
7. 'a great and terrible beauty' - the movie - granted, it's not supposed to come out until 2008, but the screenplay is finished and i am...... SOOOOO excited
8. 'angus, thongs, and full frontal snogging' - imdb claims its release date is 2008, also. i'm afraid of the humor not translating well, but still curious/hopeful.
damnit. there's some good stuff coming. i don't know if i can wait patiently, but with something like the 7th harry potter and the 3rd libba bray, it'll be sad to finish. even though those books are long and complicated, they're always the one's i read most quickly and the most thoroughly.
it's a good time for my fandoms. :)
