Just because I am pro choice doesn't mean I'm pro abortion. I'd rather that no one has to have one, because their birth control options and education helped them prevent any kind of unwanted pregnancy in the first place. But it's a good option to have available just in case.
I hate that the word "choice" has been associated with "we are all gleefully getting abortions and suck on it, Catholics!" Or something.

Donuts and the rhetoric of choice Apparently Krispy Kreme is giving away a free donut of "your choice" to celebrate Obama's inauguration and the American Life League is demanding that Krispy Kreme reaffirm their commitment to "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" and disassociate themselves from "the great American shame" which is abortion. They see "freedom of choice" as synonymous with "abortion rights on demand".
But...abortion RIGHTS on demand doesn't always mean abortion on demand, right? And to me, abortion on demand would mean abortions for people who need them. Right? Ahhh!
