So, I'm labeling new books, so we can get them put on the shelf, and I came across a copy of David Rosenberg's The Book of David, which I guess is an exploration of David as a writer of the Bible? An update:
The librarian was asking for anti-gay books because there had been a formal reconsideration of materials challenge for over 40 books with homosexual themes. Apparently a mother had found the library's booklist and got mad.

My head hurts. I started a new job today, at a law library, and I'm terrified my boss is going to realize I have no idea what I'm doing.

Checked the SJSU website. I GOT INTO THE MASTERS PROGRAM!I only told a few people I applied, so that I wouldn't jinx it, and sure enough, I'm in! Under status it now says "Accepted - Classified Graduate", which means I've been accepted with no conditions ( Read more... )
