I was rereading If I Pay Thee Not in Gold by Piers Anthony and Mercedes Lackey (any post which starts out like that can't end well, y'know.)
I would just like to make a note in case anyone else was planning to write a similar AU:
If you have country ruled by women, where all the men are slaves, and your main female character encounters a hot dude from another country that she wants to bone, but he tells her that after he has sex with a woman he turns into a chick and needs to bang a dude to turn back into a man and your main character doesn't even think to suggest they just have hot girl-on-girl action, you're an idiot.
I'm sure the main character is not the only chick in that country to want a relationship with an equal instead of a slave-- so where are the lesbians? Where's the love, people?
If you want a baby, go to the harem; if you want love, go to the barracks. Piers, Misty, why is that equation so hard?
