JOSEF IS MAKING ME PICK TEME!RIFTVERSE AU OF MIO. :D And also AoV, because I copied Rizzy with her opposite verse and Josef's an AoV where demons and angels switch.
...I really like the idea that they were demons and totally kept it from their wives/children. It's a very nice twist, and I like that it comes with consequences because not everyone is going to deal well with the 'I'm an angel/demon/supernatural' admission. Especially when they find out that their life is based on a lie.
Oh, Mio. :( Her history with her father is really interesting to me.
Hee. Teme!Mio. I love our sketchbuckets.
ALSO, did you get my PM about my address? I... was wondering if I was still half-sleeping and just THOUGHT I sent it to you without really doing so. That...happens to me sometimes. >.>
Yeah, I never got the impression that Mio's mother was an especially stable woman, from the few interactions I saw of her in canon. She always seemed really tied up in the whole concept of the family's image and such. She got really annoyed when Mio cut her hair, for example, because the short hair wasn't covering the scar well enough and that wasn't a proper look for a daughter of the Hongo family. :|
I did get your address! I sent out the package last week, so it should be turning up any day now. :D
ffff that is awful :| poor Mio, parents can really do a number on their kids. I love her from what I've seen through you and I really like reading all her stuff, especially Torchwood related!
AND YAY. You're the best and I am excited. :D <3333333
*I actually haven't figured out what Mio is an AoV against in AoV verse. There's so much crap that influenced Mio in a negative way as a kid that it's hard to pick just one.
*In this verse, Mio gets her angel blood from both of her parents. Her father is an Archangel, and her mother is an AoK of "society" (a.k.a. the doings of rich fuckers with too much money). Misao follows in her father's footsteps to become an Archangel as well. To no one's surprise, Mizuki ended up as a Guardian when she got her wings.
*Because Mio's father didn't directly kill his brother (he blackmailed someone else into doing it for him), he didn't Fall because of it. Mio still blames him and holds him responsible, though.
It would probably have to be people who murder for financial benefit, especially people who kill their own family members like her father did. Because even though that didn't directly affect her, that's the thing in her life that she finds most unforgivable and despises most. She hates her mother and her sister too, but not to the extent where she wishes they were dead.
Well, the obvious choice for Rachel would be AoK of law. :P And Jo would probably be an Archangel, methinks.
Ooooh, both those things are really good ones. The people murdering for financial benefit would be even HARDER on poor Mio, I think, because she could stumble onto those kinds of people a lot easier and have that trigger kick in.
XDD I LOVE HOW YOU KNOW THESE THINGS. Because I definitely thought of both of those for Rachel and Jo and accept no other substitute. I also think if I switched things up, Josef would also be an AoV.
BASICALLY, these ideas are ossum and I love your girl.
Well, it couldn't be solely people who murder their own families because then Mio would be a vengeance angel against herself, seeing as how her calling would have caused her to kill her father as soon as her wings came in. And there are plenty of people who do kill their own family for financial gain, whether it's to gain stock and control in the company like Mio's father did, or because they want to collect on life insurance policies, or because they're tired of waiting to inherit...
I'm not sure if Mio's calling would target assassins as well. If you go by the strict definition then yes, it would, but Mio's always viewed assassination as more of a profession than doing it for financial gain, so to speak? It's sort of a thin line, there...

ANYWAY. I am curious so ramble away. :D

I really, really like the idea of taking canon characters and turning them into Riftverse angel/demons.
Ever since I saw this I'm thinking of my own kids and what they'd be. >.>
TY FOR THE RAMBLES. :D
