I haven't worked out this set of verses completely yet, but here goes.

First, some things that are common to all demon!Mio verses:

*Mio gets her demonic heritage from her father. Despite the fact that the Hongo family comes from a long line of demons, both Mio's father and his brother married humans, and neither told their wives/children anything about it.

*Mio's mother is unaware of Mio's father's demonic nature. When she finds out, she doesn't really deal too well and becomes an alcoholic.

*I really thought for the longest time that Mio's father was a Charun, but he's not, actually. It would have taken her a while, but once she learned of the nature of demonic callings she would have probably been able to forgive her father over time for doing what he did, although it would have taken a while. Turns out he's actually a Glaysa and he's just a cowardly murdering sonovabitch like he is in canon.

*Mio's sister Misao is also a demon. Mio's cousin Mizuki is not.

*Unlike my Mio, the demon!Hongos are based out of Osaka, not Kyoto, because Kyoto is neutral territory in the Riftverse.

Specific to teme!verse:
*Teme!verse Mio is the closest in personality to the way I play my Mio. Of the demons, she's also probably closest to hypothetical canon Mio, with the possible exception of Glaysa!verse.

*During the whole Mizuki/Kazuki/Misao fiasco Mio was basically teme-ing the crap out of everybody. Eventually Mio and Katsuki eventually team up to unearth the evidence of Mio's father's wrongdoing and get him arrested. Once he gets put in jail Mio eventually temes him into killing himself.

*Mio's teme-ing greatly accellerated Mio's mothers alcoholism in this verse and she has to quietly get put into rehab, just like Nexus/standard Mio.

*Mio eventually lets up on teme-ing her sister, though the two still hate each others' guts (well Mio hates Misao's guts and Misao is more or less indifferent because she doesn't perceive Mio as a real threat), because Misao needs to run Hongo Corp. once Mio's father is dead.

*Once Mio graduates from high school she applies to study abroad at Harvard because she wants to get as far away from her family as possible. Once she graduates, she stays in the U.S. working for various companies because she enjoys being free from her family.

...I really like the idea that they were demons and totally kept it from their wives/children. It's a very nice twist, and I like that it comes with consequences because not everyone is going to deal well with the 'I'm an angel/demon/supernatural' admission. Especially when they find out that their life is based on a lie.

Oh, Mio. :( Her history with her father is really interesting to me.

Hee. Teme!Mio. I love our sketchbuckets.

ALSO, did you get my PM about my address? I... was wondering if I was still half-sleeping and just THOUGHT I sent it to you without really doing so. That...happens to me sometimes. >.>

Yeah, I never got the impression that Mio's mother was an especially stable woman, from the few interactions I saw of her in canon. She always seemed really tied up in the whole concept of the family's image and such. She got really annoyed when Mio cut her hair, for example, because the short hair wasn't covering the scar well enough and that wasn't a proper look for a daughter of the Hongo family. :|

I did get your address! I sent out the package last week, so it should be turning up any day now. :D

ffff that is awful :| poor Mio, parents can really do a number on their kids. I love her from what I've seen through you and I really like reading all her stuff, especially Torchwood related!

AND YAY. You're the best and I am excited. :D <3333333
