Summary for Bafflegab by Stan Rogal is as follows:
Stan Rogal's second novel is the story of one writer's journey through the urban wilderness. Taking the form of a writer's journal, Bafflegab is a gross collection of entries, observations and letters to the editor; a scatological scrapbook of philosphical musings, literary meanderings, quotes, misquotes, contradictions and criticisms and a kaleidoscope of perversions. Bafflegab excavates the meaning of love in the impenetrable city. At the same time, it navigates the crooked path to the heart of culture. In Rogal's trademark unsentimental treatment of raw emotion, his narrator attacks the movement towards a more conservative, less caring society, and the more materialistic, less humanistic individual it breeds.
While interesting at first, Bafflegab quickly becomes tedious and pretentious. Skip it.
