I finished Final Fantasy Type-0 today...
I really.... I just can't put all my emotions into words right now. Never has a game managed to drain so many tears from my eyes before. I couldn't stop crying. Even now, just thinking about the ending, I feel a few tears starting to rise.
I'm not going into details. There's no way I can do that right now. All I can say is, Type-0 had one of the greatest endings to one of the greatest games I have ever played in my life. Yes, it was tragic. Yes, I snot-cried like a baby. But there was hope...
The lost children's footsteps disappear,
Leaving in their stead, a song of prayer.
It will then turn into a flame -
A torch for the ones who will come after...
And that is what the members of Class 0 became - a torch of seven colors for the world to follow. Because of their sacrifice and example, Orience is at peace and the memories of the dead are returned. Because of Class 0, the people can no longer rely on the Crystals for survival. The Four Kingdoms must now put aside all differences and work together to build a brighter future. Some scars may never mend, but new and stronger bonds will be formed.
No matter who you are, everyone in the world will come face-to-face with death at some point. Whether it be a family member, a friend, or a beloved pet... someone you love will be lost.
But not everything will be lost. Unlike the people of Orience, we are allowed to keep the memories we have of our loved ones. And we should always remember them. That way, our loved ones will continue to live on in our memories. True death comes when we forget those who have passed on. We must always remember them, for as Ace sang, they are the torches who light our path.
I recommend this game to everyone. Type-0 has taught me so much about the brutalities of war, the true meaning of family, the importance of an education, and most of all, how to cope with death. I really hope Square Enix releases an English version soon. This is probably one of the most beautiful stories they have ever created. If you read this rant, spoiled yourself, and swore not to play this game because of how depressing the ending sounds... I have two strong words for you: PLAY IT. I told you before, the ending left me unable to put my emotions into words. Yes, it was sad, but it was full of hope and light. I felt so at peace. This sounds really stupid, but Type-0 changed my view of life. I'm so glad I played it.
Lastly, this is mainly for me, but I want to take a moment and thank each of the Class 0 members.
Machina, thank you for leading Orience down the right path after the war.
Rem, thank you for being such a strong party member, even when you were dying of an illness.
King, I knew I could count on you after my 3 top teams fell through. Thank you.
Queen, thank you for all the hilarious comments about Nine's intelligence.
Jack, thank you for always being positive.
Nine, you never failed to make me smile. Thank you, コラァ! wwww
Eight, even in the face of death, you still had your mind on the future. Because of you, Class 0 spent their last moments in smiles and laughter. Thank you.
Seven, thank you for looking like Lightning and Hope's daughter. www You were a great member of Team Alpha.
Sice, thank you for being so ridiculously cool. Team Beta never would've survived without you.
Cinque, thank you for just being you. Like Nine, you always brought a smile to my face.
Cater, I had no idea you were so strong at first! Thank you for pulling Team Gamma through so many dire situations.
Trey, thank you for being so talkative. LOL That archery glove you wear is so sexy. wwww
Deuce, you ended up having over 700+ MP... you really proved me wrong. Thank you for blowing my expectations out of the water.
And Ace, thank you for being my #1. Thank you for singing to the class, even when you were so close to breaking. Also, thank you for being so cute. www
My thanks also goes out to Kurasame, Izana, Hoshihime, Aki, and many others. But most of all, I thank Square Enix for creating such an amazing game. I swear my loyalty to you forever! (That is, unless you kill off Lightning or Hope... LOL)
I think I've rambled on long enough. But really, I could go on for hours about this game. Play it, people, when it comes out!!
