Vacations
So, Angel Island was too totally sweet. The 4 days on the island were constantly busy. Were were about a mile and a half from the ferry stop, and we only had about a 200 foot gain in elevation, but it seemed worse. I had been on the island, but had never really explored it all on foot. We explored over 13 miles of 2 military bases, one dating back to the civil war, and the other to 1908. We also explored some 1898 gun batteries on the Island as well as old light houses. We were busy, busy, busy on the Island. We were attacked by Raccoons every night, which added some fun. They were cute little burglars. So we also had fun with a day in SF itself. The views from the island of the city were excellent, as soon as i make it back to Long beach I'll post some pics. I may be able to put the memory card right into my new lap top, but I've not really had the time to just sit down until now.
So we drove back from SF, had 2 hours nap and than slept in missing my flight to Tampa, I flew standby and made it only 3 hours later than I was supposed to, so I got really lucky there.
Now first day of Tampa, really was driving south to Fort Myers to see two of my Aunts. On the way home my sister and I really got into it, because she was so rude to me..................I took a wrong freeway exit, and was turning around and she was not too happy about it. I was like chill, but Terri just totally has to complain about everything.
But, I walked in the shallows of the Gulf till sundown, and a thunderstorm pushed me out. There are a ton of really kewl spiral conch (spelling???) shells that i found. Saw a little ray, it was really white, I'm not sure because of the sand, or the type of Ray. So the lunch was nice, and despite the heat I really like Florida. Which is a surprise to me. I'm actually staying in Clearwater, which is about 9 miles north of St. Petersburg on the peninsula across from Tampa. I almost decided to get my own hotel, but my sisters and I have occupied different activities well apart from each other.
I'm not hopefully though, and I really think I need to find a hotel for tomorrow. I've found a couple in Tampa, but I don't want to hurt Ma. This was a really bad Idea, I did not think that my sisters could still be so rude and just cruel. I've not delt with this stuff for awhile. So well, off to call some folks while it is still early in the west. I'm still on CA time, and that is almost 9 there, but like 1 am here..........wow.........
