I patronize Hobby Lobby on a fairly regular basis. Yes, I know it's a rabidly Christian company, but I ignore than when I'm there. It's a bit annoying that they aren't open on Sunday, but there's nothing I buy there that's SO time-sensitive that it can't wait a day.

I signed up for their email ads, so I know what's on sale the next week. It's pretty cool - I don't have to subscribe tot he paper or go to their website to get it. Yeah, I'm lazy.

The last couple of weeks, there's been an ad for the movie "End of the Spear", along with this text:

In January 1956, five families dared to make contact with one of the most violent cultures ever discovered, and their story changed lives around the world. Fifty years later, the story, told from the tribe's perspective, will reach another generation.

End Of The Spear, in theaters nationwide.

We've been waiting on a movie like "End of the Spear". Go see it! Take your family. Take your friends. Most of all, take an open heart. The photography will inspire you, the scenery will amaze you and, most of all, the story will change you. May God use it to stir up more men and women of courage. Max Lucado

Hrmm. It sounds a LOT like Moism, with its superiority and certainty that only God (and Christianity) can do such things. Now, I haven't seen the movie (and have no interest in it, especially after this), but it sounds like these families were on a mission to convert the natives. Apparently they felt that their native culture was inferior.

I hate that.

*shaking head* This isn't something that's bothers me in a major way, just a minor annoyance.
