"Bonds"
Okay, so last night I watched Naruto: Shippuden Movie 2: Bonds, and it was the best thing I've seen from that series in a very very long time. Wow. I can't believe how moved I was by, as they'd say "filler" characters! I think it one hundred percent had to do with the faster pace and higher-quality animation. I watched the movie in the first place because I was hoping for some better animation (anime is just heartbreakingly gypped in the movement section...) and got so much more than just that. I think it clinched it when Sasuke was wrapped into it, entirely in character (well duh it's canon) and powerful and GOD to see Sasuke and Naruto fight together again just felt like coming home.
I thought more than once during that movie that Uzumaki Naruto is a fucking saint and should be revered for everything he has ever done. What a great person! It is silly, but he continues to be my ideal.
I would hold it up there with the Wave Country Arc, but not quite at the level of the Valley of the End. Either way, it was good shit.
