Progresses in creativity.

A quick rundown of the things I'm currently doing/involved in somehow. Essentially things that are taking up my time and how I feel about them.

Dedicated to H.O.T
The forum has been down for the last two days. The admins are rarely around and no one knows how to fix it. This leaves a lot of DTHers having a bit of a whine on Twitter. I'm kind of having withdrawals, to be honest. I keep clicking my shortcut to it and getting the same error screen and going >: I have several issues with the forum at the moment, actually... with the members and content as opposed to the server issues, but that's not something I'll bother launching into. There's a few things I want to post on the forum but can't because, well, it's not working. Things like my fic, of which I have another chapter to post. Perfect segway into number two:

NaNoWriMo
This is the first year I've actually thrown myself into the National Novel Writing Month. The 50,000 word count always seemed incredibly daunting to me because I'd taken such a long break from writing that it just didn't seem like something I could do. However, in February I began writing Never Forget, the multi-chaptered H.O.T fanfic centering around the JunTa pairing. It was my first foray into writing for some time, and my first major attempt at a proper, serious fanfiction. When NaNoWriMo rolled around, Never Forget was already sitting on about 40k words, but I hadn't touched it for so long that my readers on the forum thought I'd abandoned it. I thought, 'what the hell, I'm not going to start a new story but let's use the NaNo word goal to attempt to finish this thing'. So far, it's been working. The average for a day should be about 1700 words to meet the goal at the end of the month, but I'm forcing myself to write 2000 a day, much to the delight of my forum readers, who have received two new chapters in the past week alone.

H.O.T Fan Comic
I'll be honest; I miss drawing. I mean, I miss drawing properly, something other than the occasional chibi that I'll do for someone on the forum or something. I have never started a comic and stuck to it, but I'm going to be attempting a short, sweet story centered around Heejun/Kangta in high-school/early H.O.T days. Because they are my favourite pairing and I love to draw them. Time will tell if this will actually happen; I've drawn the rough outline for a cover above, but this might be another one of those things I just give up on. Who knows? Would anyone here actually read it if I stuck with it?

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
mad_hatter__  recently came back from Japan and spoiled me with JJBA gifts. Something deep inside of me stirred as I realised just how MUCH I miss this fandom, this beautiful manga. It was one I kept trying to get other people into, but it didn't stick with anyone except Hattie and jitusk , because most of my friends were lovers of girly-men and god forbid their protagonists had actual muscle on them. Sadly now that OneManga has been stripped of all its licensed titles, it's no longer available to read online, but one of my old friends from the JJBA forums linked me to a mediafire folder that has every single volume in it. In a fit of glee and fangirlism, I went and downloaded the whole lot and it's now sitting on my harddrive, just... waiting for me. The very thought of getting to sit and read all that again makes me tingle with excitement. I wish more people gave it a chance. But essentially, I'll be using it as my NaNo reward; meet your daily word count, get to read a volume of JJBA. Chyeah~

Subtitling
At the moment I'm still doing Elisabeth as a little side project, but with NaNo going on I don't really have time to sit down and focus on timing subs. I'm also partially through a video of H.O.T on a talk show that I'm about two thirds of the way through but the translation I was given is incomplete and there's chunks missing. This irks me terribly; I know enough Korean to be able to match up what goes where but I hate to see gaps in the subs. I'll need to run the video past Elisa once I've done what I can to see if she can translate the missed parts.

Work
Look at all the aforementioned things. Work is an afterthought. It's a chunk of my day that I could be spending writing for NaNoWriMo. It isn't important.

So yeah, this is me keeping busy. All of this month my creative projects will take priority, so I'm not sure how available I'll be for anything else... heheh. I guess I'm kind of lucky that almost all my commitments are things I can take great pride in ♥

writings, subbing, artworks, dth, jojo, h.o.t.
