Last week: Saw Eddie Izzard at Constitution Hall. ROCKED! He scintillated, as always. Now, for the record, I'm at least 97% heterosexual, and I STILL find him sexy. It's the braininess combined with the skewed perspective. That combo always works for me. And one of the people who saw it with me, who is by her own statement NOT a huge fan of his, upon seeing him live for the first time, is now a bigger fan and said, "Damn, he's pretty sexy!"

Last Sunday: Saw "Iron Man". Robert Downey Jr. CAN act his way out of a paper bag, and he is no stranger to transformation, which is the central feature of that character's arc. The action is nearly non-stop, and really well done. Train ride of fun, it is. Catch a digital screening if you can, and if you're a nerd (not unlike myself) stay through the end credits.

Last night: The Cure at Patriot Center. Three hours they played, and I was not ready for them to go. High energy, they played the full spectrum of their catalog. Old and brand new music alike, I'm a die-hard fan of these guys. Say what you will. My probable favorite song of theirs is "A Forest". It still gives me the same subtle driving thrillit did 28, that's right I said TWENTY-EIGHT years ago when I first heard it. I was delighted and spent way too much on stuff, though not all for me. That makes it better, right?
