It sucks that school sucks. I know exactly what you mean about making real friends; I've been at Richland for over a year and I still haven't made any.

Ugh I heard that the basics in college kind of bum you out... especially if you were in IB in high school. Class-wise I heard the fun doesn't really start until you can focus on your major or take a foreign language or something. I'm so sorry hon :/ As far as the friends thing goes, I understand what you're talking about when you say everything seems shallow and short term. It's like when people ask you how you're doing but you KNOW they really don't care what your answer is. For what it's worth, I'm still here and even though I'm far away I can still be your friend. I know we weren't phenominally close in high school (even though I still considered you a friend... I was just outside the IB loop), but that doesn't mean anything now :) Change is difficult but you'll pull though ^.^ It's not easy to make friends in foreign places, but you CAN do it. Even the friends you consider your sisters now were strangers at one time ;) Again, remember that I'm here if you need a shoulder, or an ear... or a whole person to be a good
