Eclectic Reviewer June Wrap-Up

I should probably pay attention to the fact I turned a page on the calendar, shouldn't I? This month was unexpectedly cut short due to Issues which will be discussed in an actual post later. Let it be known that the backlog is large and taking over my desktop.

Winds of Dune, Brian Herbert & Kevin J. Anderson
The story of how Jessica dealt with Paul's death at the end of Dune Messiah. It's also the story of why Alia was called the Abomination. I really feel sorry for Alia in this series. Poor girl can never catch a break.

Tik-Tok of Oz, L. Frank Baum
Betsy Bobbin and her mule Hank come to Oz and the Shaggy Man and Polychrome forget they ever met.

Sacred Games, Gary Corby
A murder mystery series set in ancient Greece. Why do people not tell me wonderful things like this exist?

Anne of the Island, L.M. Montgomery
In which there is entirely too much to-do about Anne and Gilbert getting engaged.

A Gathering of Shadows, V.E. Schwab
A satisfying conclusion to the series.

A Most Wanted Man, John le Carré
This book reminded me why I was so angry about politics twenty-ish years ago.

Native Son, Richard Wright
This book is a masterclass in symbolism as well as being extremely depressing.

The Swan Book, Alexis Wright
I still don't know what I think about this book.
