Hello from Little Rock
Hello everyone....This post is coming from Little Rock, AR at the Days Inn. Which if you are traveling to LA LA land from Savannah I highly recommend the Days Inn North Little Rock!! It is very very nice, relatively cheap $62 including tax, they have FREE internet access and a breakfast in the morning. PLUS our room is HUGE and the sheets and the tub look pretty clean!! Oh and the staff were really really nice!! SO I'm happy with this hotel. We probably could have drove another hour though b/c I didn't factor in for the time difference so we got here at 7:45pm their time. We have been driving for 12 hours, stopping for 45 min for dinner so we were making great time. We probably could have drove a few more hours but oh well...my back was hurting so I am happy to be out of the car for a bit.
Of course in true fashion the shit has hit the fan at work this week!! The food recall is causing a ton of problems, pets are getting sick and dying. I have at least a few hours worth of paperwork to do when I go back and I spent about an hour on the phone today talking to my hospital at different times. Its just a bad situation all around and a bad time for me to be gone but hey what can you do.....its not like I just decided to up and leave I had this planned.
When we dropped the dogs off this morning at the Kennel I cried b/c Riley looked so upset that we were leaving...Max of course was dumb and didn't know what was going on but Riley looked mad and scared when they took her back to put her in the pen. At least she gets to stay with Max for the 5 days they are there b/c I think that they would have alot of problems if they weren't together. I just felt so bad...I promised them that I was coming back to get them. Bry was really sad too b/c he won't see them until the middle of June again. I think that is when it finally hit him that he was going to be gone for so long....sigh!!
Okay gotta go spend some time with my boy and then go to sleep!! I will update more tomorrow from Albuquerque, NM after another 800 miles and 12 hours of driving :-)
