The O.C

Squeeeee! Ok I've heard rave reviews from the flist on how great The Avengers was, but I still was apprehensive. It finally screened over here last night and my worries & concerns, *poof*. It was freaking-fantastic ( Read more... )

*hugs* I just felt like doing that. :P

I feel the same way you do about The OC of course. *nods* Adam Brody is so cute.

*Huggle* I think you deserve one more!

Of course. Supporting two-bit characters should stay as is and the main characters that made it what it was should get focus. That's how they messed up the last two years. Hmmph.

But will it stay this way? They've got me so jaded and I want to be hopeful that it's not just a tease. Say it ain't so! You know I'll meltdown. If any newbie (I'm looking at you Kaitlin and Che and any tweens/twins) had had more screentime it would have disrupted the story completely. I'm wholly on the squee train, but I don't want it derailed after Josh thinks he's made his statement. So, must keep the faith and hope for once that maybe the message got through? Keep the newbies as part of a primary character's SL only.

But the Ryan goodness? What I would have given for two years of that...

ITA! I'm the same, I'm still bitter too. I've read many posts how Josh is great and the OC is all fixed now but frankly I can't and I won't forgive him. Just season 3 we had to sit through 25 episodes and in that 25, maybe 3 episodes were good (not great but decent). Ryan was indisputably the star, his character instigated ‘The O.C’ yet he became background fodder ( ... )

Would WORD and ITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTA suffice? You know I could write volumes. If LJ hadn't had issues this weekend and wasn't still slow in my neck of the woods, I probably would. I want to believe we'll get what we should have, but what went awry after Oliver Twisted for the most part when M's lame melodramatic issues of broken nails and, shudder, divorce without Chanel became the forefront. Then we were all supposed to think an even more self-absorbed (if possible) Seth was funny, endearing and the center of the universe too. Not ( ... )

And Taylor? She's a caricature as I've said in the past as well. She works as one and I don't want much more. Time spent on developing her or anyone or anything new is time taken from what has been languishing and lacking and needs attention and development.

So, we're both happy, but wary, but hopeful, but afraid, but wanting to simply believe it's possible...

Yup that's it right there!

And I'll pretty much add and ITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTA to your part too. Ryan is indeed the sole reason of watching and yep, if we only ended up with Ryan & Seth, Ryan & Cohens (Ryan & Sandy, what's that again?) I'll be a very happy girl.

And glad you still feel the same about Taylor, the way people were going on it seemed like she had become the 'BEST CHARACTER EVA'. IMO it's simply all about and only about, Ryan.

I'm still baffled, frustrated, disgusted, discouraged, irate, despondent and a list I can't even bear to type over how the focus ever changed to begin with. If something works and it's simple, then let it follow its natural course ( ... )

ok just butting in here...lol

but Kaitlin bugs me..maybe it's the actress and her weird way of talking.

You know Ryan NEEDS to be fighting with no shirt all the time! *nods*
