So Saturday I went on another one of my city walkabouts, the goal being to hit up as many comic stores as possible (as it was free comic book day) and to get some water color painting done. Only one of these goals was met to any degree of satisfaction.

My trek began at the Lucas complex in the Presidio as I heard there is a Yoda statue outside one of the buildings. Sure enough, outside building B there is a Yoda fountain. I felt like such a tool taking this picture and had up until a few minutes ago thought it didn't save properly to my phone (a little USB cable magic managed to retrieve it successfully though.)
After that stop it was a blitzkrieg of comic stores, something I will not go into heavy detail on. I will simply say that the Isotope almost brought my trip to an end with their awesome selection of free comics. I figured the rest of my day would be spent painting in the Park, but I really just ended up getting lost and exploring the Park. Plus the Canvas Gallery is right next to Golden Gate so I hit up the
Combined Weight show again.
The only painting I managed to do is pretty crappy but I told Todd I'd post whatever I did so here it is:
In case you can't tell what that is, it's brdige over a stream. That location, Stow Lake, is my new favorite place in the park and this visit prompted me to take Margaret rowing there the next day. So I'll leave all this off with a goofy picture from the above mentioned activity.
