the slums of winter

Argh. I think my body has finally clued in to the fact it is now winter. The amount I've slept this week is tantamount to hibernation. I spent all yesterday sleeping (and had wonderfully yummy dreams!) and I'm still tired, but not to tired to go on a random LJ search ( Read more... )

Ffff I want a job where I can sit and play games or draw. D=

Also, lulz of Box of Doom. Amusingly enough, I had a similar reaction when I found her LJ, it was through an Ouran comm. And the name on her account is C-chan. Who I know from the cafe boards. Lo and behold, same C-chan. This was almost a year ago. ^^

....uh, didn't you HAVE a job where you could sit and draw and play on your laptop a lot? lol.

And that's very amusing. Box of Doom is beginning to seem omnipresent in the digital world lol.

I've been wanting to sleep all the time due to the weather as well. That and partially my busy schedule.
Sleep sounds wonderful right now...
And. I envy you. I want a job where I can sit and draw all day. ;_;

I only wish it were my regular job. Unfortunately it's just a one-night thing. Is it too much to ask to be paid to do nothing for the rest of my life?

I don't know, but if you find a job that offers that plus more, tell me where I can sign up.
I'd be happy to have a desk job now instead of McDonalds. Maybe when were slow I could sneak some online time in *ninja stares*

Hmm, all I can suggest for that kind of job is being a night time receptionist at a not too busy hotel. There's still chores and stuff to do, but there's also lots of time to doodle or use a laptop. (I've had friends in that industry before.)
Unfortunately right now the economy in both our countries suck ass, so nice jobs like that are hard to come by. I don't think I'd want a desk job though, I'd get sick of sitting all the time. Working nights in a grocery store is nice though, it's quiet, I keep my head down, do my job, and wear my MP3Player, so it's at least nice like that.
I've never worked in the fast food industry, but once again I've had friends who have, so I definitly give you the sympathy.I should never work in fast food though, I'm not good under time pressure, and I'd be tempted to eat the product...or maybe the opposite, once I find out the behind the scenes truth I might never be able to eat it again...lol
