I'm proud of my country tonight.
I'm proud that we've elected the first black president, I never doubted that it would happen in my lifetime, but I always thought it would be a republican who'd been VP first.
I thought McCain's concession speech was gracious and well done. I thought Obama's acceptance speech was rousing and full of hope and possibilities for the future.
I'm very happy Obama won, but tonight I felt like both men are great leaders who want America to live up to its potential, and neither have much patience with party politics. If the McCain I saw tonight had been running I would've been a lot more torn in my decision.
Anyway, it's a historic moment and looking at Obama I'm feeling so proud that he will be the face for our country to the world. I want everyone to know 'this is us, this is what we can be, we don't all want to bomb you or own you!'
Ok, I'm babbling, I'm going to bed.
