I saw three more episodes of School Rumble today, and I still love it. I don't ship them or anything, but . . . Harima and Tenma are really, really adorable together. I peeked at the fandom out of curiosity because of something happy_myaow said about them, and I found that I do not understand them. Harima/Yakumo seems to be the most popular ship. . . . why? Maybe it's a side effect of my having 46 episodes left to go, but that makes little to no sense to me. And there seems to be no shipping involving Tenma. Odd. Anyway, beyond that, I am finding this show hilarious, and I really like everyone's interactions, particularly the three leads. Karasuma is just unbelievably strange in such a quiet way. He sleeps in storage rooms! He stands in one place for hours at a time! He walks in the rain dressed as a Kappa! And all without ever changing his facial expression or speaking in anything but a monotone! The sad thing is, besides Tenma's infatuation with him, I really can't see that relationship working. Of course, I really can't see Karasuma with anybody.
I really liked most of the minor characters, the exceptions being Eri, Hanai, and that . . . guy with the orange hair. Also, I find it kind of hilarious that Greg Ayres voices some random nameless extra in the background. I really like Yakuma, but she doesn't really fit into this show. Also, I want Hanai to just leave her alone. ^^; Akira I love, especially the entire segment involving the Tea Club. In general, man, this is a really funny show. I especially love its method of slowly introducing plot points and characters and background details about the cast and infatuations as it goes on.
Also, you know, if you play the Pokemon First Season theme backwards, it says, over and over, "Push that guy!" Weird.
