Disc one of Ouran has now come and gone, and I am smiling like a buffoon because of how much I truly love this show.  I cannot wait to watch the rest of it for the second time.  ^^;  Back when it first aired, I watched the fansubs(I came into it somewhere around episode 14 and then followed it week-by-week), and now I intend to at some point buy the box sets, but I am content with Netflix for the time being.  Anyway, I have decided I am now quite content with the dub, including Greg Ayres, and that his voice actually does blend well with the actor playing Hikaru when they speak in unison.  I'm still a bit skeptical about one certain wonderful speech that Kaoru has in the second half, but I guess we'll see.  J. Michael Tatum now has a place in my heart.  His voice seemed a little too old and a little too deep at first, but maybe it's me, or maybe it's him, but it definitely suits Kyouya quite well.  The honorifics thing is still irritating, but for the most part it just sticks to 'sempai,' which isn't so bad, and 'Haru-chan!' which I'm pretty sure Hunny only says a few times.  As for Renge, her voice seems too young, and too high pitched, but her actress' intonation and use of emotion are really good and fit the character quite well.  (It's Monica Rial, right?  I can't remember.)   I also noticed some foreshadowing:  one major case of it, and a couple more subtle things, including outfits that are very, very similar to the ones worn near the end of the show.  (Well, that's really more a case of good continuity than anything else.)  Oh, and Vic Mignogna continues to be excellent as Tamaki, as well as Caitlin Glass as Haruhi.  There are some script changes, but nothing really irritating in the five episodes I watched.  (I skipped the first two, having seen them.)  The next disc arrives tomorrow, and I look forward to it very much.

Also, it looks like it's finally available, so I should be getting Emma on Friday, hopefully, since that's the day I leave for Kim's.  We need to call and make sure it's okay with her, but if it is, I'm staying for a week.  She has wi-fi, so I'll still be posting, probably just as often.
