I'm 22! This year, for whatever reason, has gone by very very very quickly. It was a fun one so that's probably why it flew.
I had a really solid birthday yesterday. Nothing earth shattering but I went to bed feeling really content. I woke up and frittered around the house. It was snowing just as I like it. I tended to my newly hatched baby snails - and rescued them from my hungry murderous goldfish. Later, I got a birthday call from my Nana and Pop, which is always nice.
For my birthday dinner, we went to Frankie Tomatto's with Leslie and my family. In the driving snow, we drove there - way longer than I thought it was. (Haha. Drove in the driving snow. I make myself laugh) Dinner was great. So much Italian food. Manicotti. Stuffed with potato and cheese. Lasagna. Saussage and pepper penne. Spumoni. Of course, my family just had to tell them it was my birthday so I got the usual treatment. A bunch of non-Italian waiters and waitresses march into the room with some Italian guy - pressumably Mr. Tomatto - singing on a boom box with cheese cake, sparklers and a giant wooden cutout of Frankie. Wonderfully uncomfortable! Back at home, we opened presents and ate a little cake. Leslie's parents gave me a scratch card that won TWENTY CANADIAN DOLLARS.
Leslie and I also visited Katie and Kenny, who gave me some sweet stuff. DQ gift certificates because I don't eat enough ice cream, as well as a 'Big Dumb Idiot' ice cream cake.
Me with Frankie Tomatto
