Hell is freezing over...

Yes readers (if I have any left that is) I am making a post in my starving livejournal. Even further from the "norm" this is not a philosophical post or rant. Nor will it be a poem, essay, or anything else that could be mistaken as school related. In fact, as my good friend Jay says, it's more of a "what I had for breakfast" post. I have found that ( Read more... )

...Yes readers (if I have any left that is).... Yes, there are still some of us left, even though it's been a looooooooong time between posts. *Quickly checks own lj for timelines*

I am making a post in my starving livejournal.WOO HOO

..So from now on I have decided that it's mostly going to be about the current events of my life.. More about this later...

The last week has been pretty well focused on three things.....being generally pissed off with the current state my body is in (please Jay, no cheap jokes...you too Kevin) Damn, you take alllllll the fun out of these comments

....What was once a relatively small and simple patio - has turned into a massive undertaking of man labour..... I can vouch for that!!! Yes, we dug down almost to China, hit solid clay and made our share of the 1,500 wheelbarrow trips for the 50 cubic yards of dirt and the fifty tons of gravel. We also found out just how loud a brick cutter is when you spend all day making the many cuts required. I think my ears are still ringing, or else someone keeps calling me :(

All in all, it may have been a massive undertaking, but it will be worth it once the drinks are served. I promise to take pictures and post them so all can see them.

Moving along, my friend and his girlfriend have been having some problems as of late...... Yes, this is a live journal, where you're supposed to be able to write things as you would in a private journal, yet let others see what's going on in your life. Many of us have been ultra careful to not mention names, lest those concerned become upset. I guess that people will recognize themselves as being the one being written about, but only those who are closely involved with the situation will know who it is.

In this case, that's what happened. I personally didn't see anything wrong with the ost, the anonymity of all concerned was protected when the post was made. What followed was both of the parties involved getting more and more into an argument as to what was said and what was perceived. I can't see how this posting was made specifically to hurt or offend Care, or to change people's opinions about her. It certainly didn't make my opinion change. As for name calling, I don't find ....his girlfriend is indecisive... to be harsh.

I agree with Ryan that once an issue has been discussed and worked out between two people, it shouldn't be brought up again. I was married to a woman for 23 years and every little thing I did wrong was brought up each and every argument, despite my having apologized for them already. As for apologies, I'm sure that Ryan's apology was sincere. I also strongly agree with stephysue that a ton of hugs and a long open conversation might do the trick in solving everything.

Regarding the state my body is currently in....... *Damn....remembering past warning to make no comments* Remember to listen to the good doctor about staying off it. *mumbles under breath about all of the comments that go wasted....*

As for Ryan's abilities as a counsellor, I can attest to his abilities, as well as his caring and concern for his friends. No one has done for us as much as he has for our family, for which we are eternally grateful.
