Need Caffeine

To the person who said, "knowledge is power" You can kiss my ass. That statement at work is more along the lines of "the more you know, the more they screw you". Lately the people in charge decided that the understaffed department of borderline overworked agents need to handle more responsibilities. So what does this translate to for the protagonist of the story. It means learning a new tool that is about as usefull as a sundial in the basement. I guess that is on par with the rest of the so called tools that they have provided us. The days that they are working, they're slow, buggy and as unstable as a emokiddy on crack.

It could just be that this shift is no longer for me. Working the graveyard shift used to be a simple thing for me, however I am starting to find that I can not sleep proper hours. When I worked a day shift I couldn't sleep at night. If I did, it would be an average of around four hours a night. Now, working the night shift, it is either an hour of sleep or I sleep for ten to fourteen hours. Today was one of the only an hour days. Sucks so much. So once again I am running on an hours sleep for the last 40 hours or so.

I have recently decided that I no longer want to work at my current place of employment. I have put in my application into another company that provides technical support for cable internet, however it will be considered to be In House support. It also means going back onto the phones to provide the support. Which will be a nice change of pace I think. Plus I won't have to speak with retarded people from the US. I know that the people I will be helping at the new job will also have the mental agility of a soapdish, but I can hope that it will be better.

Things in my life seem to be slowing down for the time being, which is nice. There are a few things I wish I could change, but if they did, life wouldn't be so simple and I'd rather not get into that right now.

Can't do too much more typing right now, the brain is too tired and it is way too busy at work tonight. The joys of not having the proper staffing.
