Weekend Recap
This weekend, I got to visit bnsd70 in San Diego again. We had a great time. I flew in Friday after work and spent a low-key evening with the boy at home.
Saturday, we had breakfast at the Parkhouse Eatery, which was awesome. After that, we ran a few errands and left some love notes on hot bears' cars before heading to funbearsd's going-away pool party. I didn't take any pics at the party, but plenty can be seen on the posts from other LJers in attendance, bnsd70, kingfuraday, and thikstache (who brought the evil Jello shots, of which I partook of far too many). Other LJers in attendance included bearxxl, bearringsd, bigkid, sluggobear, hryguyinsd, and probably others I'm failing to mention. The pool party was great fun.
After a brief disco nap and some taco stand grub, we headed up the street for a drink with kingfuraday. Everyone was pretty wiped after the long day in the sun swimming and drinking, so it was a fairly early night.
Sunday morning, we drove down to the beach for brunch, only to be hit with an hour wait time. Screwing that, we headed to a second restaurant, but we were much too young to eat there. Finally, we made our way back to Brians' American Eatery, only a few blocks from Bryson's house, just before he died of starvation. After stopping at the farmers' market, we made our way to the Hole for beer bust. Again, no pics from me. But others in attendance who posted pics include kingfuraday and bigkid. The requisite visit to Pizza Explosion followed.
Bryson and I bedded down early so as to get me to the airport on time for my 7:30 AM flight back to SF (which was delayed more than a half hour, putting me in the office five minutes late for a presentation I was giving that morning). It was worth it, though. I had an awesome time, yet again. Bryson and those SD bears really know how to show a visitor a good time.
