I know it sounds like some erotic lesbian bondage fantasy, but I'm going to see back-to-back Virginia Woolfs. Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, that is.
Last night, I went to see
the classic screen version of Virginia Woolf, starring
Dame Elizabeth Taylor,
Sir Richard Burton,
George Segal, and
Sandy Dennis, at
The Castro Theatre. It is my favorite film of all time. I wouldn't even have known it was playing there if it hadn't been for
kevin_v5's
post yesterday. Seeing it for the first time on the big screen was totally awesome.
Tonight, I'm taking
Sam to see
the stage version of Virginia Woolf, starring
Kathleen Turner and
Bill Irwin, at the
Golden Gate Theatre. This will be the first time seeing a professional performance of the play. I can't wait!
