Oh, I've had lecturers like that. And kudos to House for researching like that, making sure he could tune out and not miss anything.
Success (Gravitas):
Absolutely, and good House voice. thelastgoodname had an interesting thing to say comparing the respect and relative skill of butchers with surgeons.
Hospital Food (Jejune):
Ooo, bitey. The obvious mention of his leg, and implied distrust in instructing her on his sandwich. Great structure, up to the fight and leaving kick with the last phrase.
Messages (Loquacious):
I loved his message in "Who's Your Daddy?" Loved all of these. Especially the post-Stacy one. Oh!
Treatment (Modicum):
Eeep! And a whole story in 100 words, wow.
Pranksters (Nefarious):
Laughed! Go Wilson!
Stehoscope (Obtuse):
Wow. Oh, that's so very image-worthy.
Whiteboarding (Plethora):
A disease. Excellent. Well done!
Aftereffects (Quaff):
That's kind of cute. *g* And very House.
Rules (Riposte):
No point changing at all. I have a mental image of a baterium with a sword now.
Flying (Schadenfreude):
He didn’t take pleasure in crushing them thoroughly when they were wrong, making them feel lower than slugs. I love, just the length of that sentence. Seems contradictory. Although it's not, actually. I'm sure anyone would give them a job even if they broke contract with House. But they will learn to fly. :-)
Lacrosse (Votary):
Oh, that's just... excellent metaphor, and very well used.
Turkish Van (Wan):
Wonderful use of the prompt. And lovely backstories - Turkey and Stacy with the cat. Mmm. I wish I had such a facility for languages.
Game Break (Xenophobia):
Hee! Yay for Foreman! Ha!
Constants (Yearn):
Oh, House! Just, yeah, again. I can feel that. I think it suits him.
Ends (Zeitgeist):
Great ending note! And on that edge between proud and bereft. A very drabbley drabble, if that makes any sort of sense. I loved the structure of it.
