I thought maybe I was going to make it through the Autumn without getting sick this year, but it was not to be. A small cold caught me at earlier in the week. Can't complain though, at least I was healthy for all the fencing comps.
I stayed home yesterday in line with my new policy of "You have sick days for a reason, take one and stop spreading the germs you fool". This was probably a good thing. While I didn't feel like I was dying (croaking only in a literal sense), someone that vague and unfocused should not be allowed near computers with an admin password.
I was supposed to go to a coach education session on "Fitness and Training", but as the time to leave rolled around I realised that there was no way I was going to be able to focus on learning things for three hours, and I shouldn't be driving anywhere anyway. Maybe next year.
The quote arrived for fixing my mac. A new power supply, and £60 for one hour of labour. £60 an hour?! I'm in the wrong line of computer work. Nonetheless I have told them to go ahead, because I want it fixed and love my mac far too much to do it myself.
Today I'm much better. A little queasy after coming to work in the cold, but it seems to have passed. I must have finally become accustomed to the nasty little UK bugs.
